Talwinder Jit Singh Sahi

About

I am well known as TJ SAHI in my basketball Field.    It is my Passion to Excel in this Field. Today I have achieved every major High level Medal and Awards in my Country, but that’s not the Boundary towards Achieving my Lifetime Goal. Basketball had a Wide Scope.

I would prefer to Explore more in Sports field as there is a Bright room for Self-Improvement.

I started to play basketball when I was 10. I were coached in track and field by our father, a decathlon record holder. When i finished our work-outs with him, he would tell us to “cool down” by playing cricket or soccer. But i discovered a basketball court near the track and started to play basketball instead. It was not much of a court. It had a brick surface and there were rims with no nets. I didn’t have a basketball at first so we played with our soccer ball. But i thought it was great! Soon i were playing at a real court at the local university and i were noticed by a coach who thought we had potential.

I was also selected to play for India in 2004 and started to play international tournaments. I was declared the best point guard in Asia that same year and went on to win other awards such as top scorer. I have been honored to represent India since that time at many international tournaments in Asia and the Middle East, as well as participating in the Commonwealth Games in Australia in 2006. My father passed away several years ago and I continue to play for India and to honor the memory of my father.
